The department invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor level, starting in the 2015-2016 academic year. Ranks at associate professor or above will also be considered for candidates with exceptional record of research excellence and academic leadership. We seek a colleague with specialty in experimental condensed matter physics. Outstanding individuals in the fields, high energy physics, AMO (atomic, molecular and optical) physics, and astronomy and astrophysics will also be considered. Successful candidates are expected to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels. He or she should be able to develop competitive research programs and has the potential to become a top scholar internationally. Research and teaching experiences beyond Ph.D. are preferred. Under normal circumstances, proficiency in Chinese language is required. Applicants should submit a resume, a list of publications, up to five representative works, a description of research and teaching plans.
