以雙色光波形合成同調控制三階諧波產生

潘犀靈教授團隊運用其實驗室所建立的阿秒(10-18
sec.)雷射脈衝波形合成系統,來進行非線性諧波產生的同調控制。相較於傳統使用飛秒脈衝的雙色光相對相位控制的方法,僅能對三階諧波產生的控制達到+/-0.06的程度。該團隊使用窄頻的基頻及二倍頻光,經過精確的控制此雙色光之間的振幅及相位,使得對三階諧波的控制能達到目前所知最高的+/-
0.35的程度,圖(a)-(c)。同時,此諧波的調變結果亦可作為多色光的波形合成時,相位測量的重要方法之一,圖(d)-(f)。
緊緻雷射系統:利用光纖雷射放大器產生266奈米光源
光纖雷射團隊利用一個緊緻光纖雷射放大器產生,以及三硼酸鋰和β相偏硼酸鋇晶體產生266奈米之紫外雷射輸出。為了提高波長轉換效率,我們縮短了摻鐿光纖之長度並控制光纖放大器的初始偏振條件,成功地將基頻頻寬由6奈米縮小至1奈米。此外,一聲光調制器安裝於種子光源與光纖放大器之間,用以維持其尖峰功率。最後,分別在一級和二級光纖放大器中使用3公尺和3.5公尺之摻鐿光纖,聲光調制器的占空因數為0.35的條件下,成功地將四倍頻的轉換效率(266奈米/532奈米)由3.8%提升至7.4%。目前,最高可輸出200毫瓦之紫外光雷射。

曼徹斯特調變格式於W-頻段(100

W-頻段(100
GHz)的毫米波作為載波以實現高速數據傳輸的技術在過去極受矚目。然而,現下人們使用網路的習慣改變,習慣於室內使用無線網路,而在室內會有許多障礙物,使毫米波訊號在傳輸過程中都有很大的干擾。為突破此困境,潘犀靈教授領導的跨校團隊發展將毫米波無線傳輸系統搭配已成熟的光纖到府技術,透過光纖和無線技術的結合,並整合光電式毫米波源與積體光電毫米波發射技術。本團隊最近成功展示高穩定性的光纖無線通訊技術,與傳統調變格式(NRZ-OOK)比較,在更低的毫米波發射器操控功率下(約節省34%),誤碼率可
< 10-12。
超連續光源

利用本團隊研發的可調式似雜訊光纖雷射,其中心波長為1070nm,經過一段長約100m的標準單模光纖,可產生頻域上由1050至1250nm之超連續光源。根據理論模擬,此超連續光的產生主要是因為似雜訊脈衝在單模光纖中傳遞造成的非線性效應,其中以一連串的「受激拉曼散射」造成光譜向長波長延伸,和「克爾效應」使得光譜變得平坦本團隊成功地架設了一套以似雜訊脈衝為基礎的超連續光產生系統,其中超連續光源之起始脈衝能量為43
nJ。此種低起始能量且光譜平坦的超連續光產生機制,相較於一般使用光子晶體光纖產生超連續光的機制,相當有競爭潛力。
