1. From Taipei Songshan Airport (TSA)

          There is No direct bus between Hsinchu and TSA. You have to take MRT in airport and transfer to the bus in Taipei Bus Station.

             

          1. Walk to MRT station (Songshan Airport Station) from Terminal I.

          2. Take the line 1 (Wenhu line, brown color) to Taipei Zoo direction.

          3. Transfer to another line : line 5 (Bannan line, blue color) at the Zhongxiao Fuxing Station.

          4. Take the line 5 to Taipei Main Station direction.

          5. Get off the MRT at Taipei Main Station. Follow the sign to Taipei Bus Station (台北轉運站).

          6. By How-Tai bus (豪泰客運) / Hsinchu bus (新竹客運) /Kuo-Kuang (國光客運) to HsinChu.

              The average travel time is around 60 min depends on the highway traffic condition. The fare is around NT$130.

          7. For the south bound bus, the first stop is for National Chiao Tung University, which is only 100 meters from the highway.
              Usually, some guests get off here so the bus makes a short stop right after leaving the high way.

              Ring the bell when you are 1 block away from the high way.

          8. To make a stop in National Tsing Hua University Bus Stop (the 2nd bus stop). 

               It is located right next to a pedestrian bridge, you won't miss it.
               Keep your ticket, you are requested to submit it to the bus driver when you get off.

1. From Taiwan Taoyuan International (TPE) Airport

   There is NO direct bus between Hsinchu and Taoyuan International Airport. You have to change bus either in Taoyuan or Zhongli.

   1. By Bus:
      1. From terminal I or terminal II of the airport to Zhongli (By Taoyuan Bus Corporation) >> Buses to Zhongli
      2. Transfer to another bus in Zhongli bus stop to Hsinchu
      3. Get off the bus at the second stop (Tsing Hua Stop) after exiting highway
      4. Walk to National Tsing Hua University
   2. By Taxi
   3. By Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR)

         (2) Get off the bus at the third stop (Tsing Hua Stop) after exiting highway

II.    From Taipei

1. By Bus:

2. By Train: (Taiwan Railway administration)
   1. From Taipei Train station To HsinChu station
   2. Then take the local bus, the local bus stop is opposite to HsinChu station
   3. Take Hsinchu city bus No. 1, 2 or 1甲. The bus stop is located on MinTzu Road(民族路), marked as the green circle in the map below, next to SOGO department store.
      Pay NT$15 (exact change) on board. (when you get on, drop the money into the box next to the driver)
      The bus runs like every 40 mins but sometimes irregularly
   4. Ring the bell after you pass the KungFu high school (光復中學). The high school will be on your right. At the same time, you could see an open hilly park on your left right across the street.
   5. The bus should stop soon after passing the TsingHua's main gate on your right.
      or
   6. Take a cab right in front of the station lobby. The fare is around NT$150(by meter) or NT$200 (by negotiation)
   7. If you don't speak Chinese, you  may want to print out the useful phrase sheet to show it to the taxi driver.

1. Drive a car: (North to South)
   1. Via Highway No.1 :
      South bound :
      Pull into the exit lane at 93.5 km. It will split into two very soon. The right one leads you to Boulevard No.5 (公道五) immediatedly. If you want to take KungFu road(光復路), keep on the left and continue south for 600 meters. The lane will be merged by another lane from the right. Carefully change to the right lane right after the merge. It will lead you of the high way and directly take you into the KungFu road(光復路). To NTHU: drive along Kuang-Fu Road about 1 kilometers. The main entrance of National Tsing Hua University is on your left side.
      North bound:
      Take a bypass at 96.2 km, you can make a left turn into KungFu road(光復路) at the first exit or you can go 500 meters farther to turn into Boulevard No.5 (公道五). Both way can lead you to NTHU.
   2. By Highway No.3 :
      Switch to highway No.1 at the Hsinchu intersection 100.7 km (100 km on Highway 1) and continue north, Get off No.1 at 96.2 km.
